“Wonderful Life” is a song by British singer Black from his 1987 album of the same name. Written by Black himself, the song was released twice as a single and was successful the second time, becoming a top ten hit in Switzerland, Germany, UK, France, Austria and Italy.
The music video was shot in black and white around the English seaside resort of New Brighton, near Black’s hometown Liverpool, and features New Brighton Lighthouse and Promenade. It was directed by Gerard De Thame, husband of Rachel De Thame, and won an award at the NY Film Festival in 1988.

Kenny Loggins – Danger Zone
“Danger Zone” is a song, with music composed by Giorgio Moroder and lyrics written by Tom Whitlock, which American singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins recorded and released in 1986. The song appeared on the soundtrack to the 1986 American motion picture Top Gun. Dann Huff, lead vocalist and guitarist from ’80s hard rock group Giant, performed guitar on the selection. The bass line is a classic 1980s sound comprised in the main of a plucked bass sound from the ubiquitous Yamaha DX7 synthesizer, with the drums being provided by the LinnDrum (a drum machine designed by Roger Linn) which also appears on hundreds of other 1980s pop hits. A tenor saxophone joins in near the end of the song.
Genesis – Invisible Touch
“Invisible Touch” is the title track of the 1986 Genesis album of the same name. It is the most successful single in the band’s lengthy history and was their only #1 single in the United States. It reached #4 in Canada, and #15 in the United Kingdom. Its B-side is the second part of “Domino”, titled “The Last Domino”. (The album includes both parts of “Domino” combined together.)
Desireless – Voyage Voyage
“Voyage, voyage” is a 1986 song written by Jean-Michel Rivat and recorded by the French singer Desireless. It was the first single from her album François and became a hit in many countries in Europe. In 2007, Belgian singer Kate Ryan also released a version of the song.
Bon Jovi – You Give Love A Bad Name
“You Give Love a Bad Name” is a song written by Jon Bon Jovi, Desmond Child, and Richie Sambora about a woman who has jilted her lover. The track was released as the first single from the album Slippery When Wet and hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 29, 1986, Bon Jovi’s first number one hit.
